328 SSG – specialists for the maintenance, repair and modernisation of the Dornier 328 fleet – required a customised working platform to replace panes, carry out other assembly work and conduct maintenance and repair work in cockpits.
The solution developed by our experts at HYMER Project is a mobile working platform with guardrails constructed in two parts that contact the cockpit without any gaps. It meets precisely the specifications of the Oberpfaffenhof-based company down to the smallest detail.
328 SSG requirement:
“The working platform must have maximum flexibility to position it against the cockpit. This is a vital factor for its use since there are often several aircraft in an aircraft hangar and there is very little space for manoeuvre.”
HYMER Project solution:
“The system consists of two parts and is fitted with a plug-in guardrail. This permits the working platform to be placed in the required position from both sides and, if necessary, to pass under the wings. Eight braked swivel castors also ensure a minimum turning circle.”

“We require maximum safety and optimised ergonomics at the workplace for our employees.”
HYMER Project solution:
“The working platform contacts the cockpit without any gaps. The upper section of the fall protection guardrails adapts to the aircraft contour. The access stairs to the platform were built at the corner to exclude the risk of an employee accidentally falling backwards. An additional foot rail all around the base plate covered with anti-slip checker plate protects employees from falling tools or materials and stops them from slipping off the platform.”
328 SSG requirement:
“The platform is in daily use. The working platform must therefore be highly stable and long-lasting - both indispensable factors.”
HYMER Project solution:
“The working platform with a load capacity of 300 kilograms complies with the DIN EN ISO 14122 standard. It is CE-certified and type-tested by DEKRA. The high safety precautions and the high-quality workmanship permit the system to be in constant use. On request, we also offer a professional assembly and after-sales service.”
